TORONTO, Canada, May 3, 2021 – Today, Re:Sound welcomes Denis Dinsmore as its new Vice President, Finance & Administration.
“Denis joins Re:Sound at an exciting time – we launched a new strategic plan earlier this year, and the organization is in the midst of several significant enterprise wide projects,” said Lou Ragagnin, Re:Sound’s CEO and President. “I have every confidence that Denis’ strong credentials, business acumen and understanding of corporate governance and accountability will serve the organization and the rights holders we represent, extremely well.”
Dinsmore’s extensive experience spans multiple sectors, including 10 years in the music and entertainment industry at ole Media Management (now Anthem Entertainment Group), where he was the Vice President, Finance. Most recently, he served as Vice President, Finance at Comark Holdings Inc., known for retail banners Ricki’s, Cleo and Bootlegger.
“I’m excited to return to the music industry,” said Dinsmore. “Re:Sound does important work and neighbouring rights royalties are a vital revenue stream for performers and labels. I’m looking forward to working with the Re:Sound team and our member organizations.”
Dinsmore is a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA) and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Guelph.
In the coming weeks, Dinsmore will work (virtually) alongside Clement Wong, who retires as VP Finance later this month after 21 years of service.
