Re:Sound congratulates Justice Robert A. Blair on his appointment as Chair of the Copyright Board of Canada.
The Copyright Board of Canada is a fundamentally important tribunal overseeing many transactions in the developing world of copyright.
“Mr. Justice Blair has a very strong reputation within the legal community,” said Ian MacKay, President of Re:Sound. “His extensive judicial experience, particularly with commercial cases, and his strong sense of fairness will serve him well in leading the Copyright Board in a rapidly changing world where Canada should be second to none. We commend Minister Moore and the Government of Canada on filling this very important role.”
