Matthew Fortier Director, Communications

Matthew joined Re:Sound in 2011 as Director of Communications and works with a number of stakeholders, including government and the media to ensure a greater understanding of the work Re:Sound does on behalf of rightsholders.
Matthew has over 10 years of public affairs experience, working in a number of government relations, communications and community relations roles. Immediately prior to joining Re:Sound, Matthew worked for TD Bank Group, managing their federal government relations and all communications and public affairs for TD Securities. He has also served as Parliamentary Counsel for the Canadian Council of Chief Executives.
Matthew has served on the National Arts Centre Black and White Gala Committee and on the Board of the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre Volunteer Association. He is also an avid musician and music fan.
Matthew holds a BA(Hon) from Dalhousie University and a Master’s degree in Media and Communications from the University of London (Goldsmiths College). |
